Nathan Smith earned his Ph.D. from the University of Toronto in 2012. He is at work on a book manuscript that expands on his dissertation, "Comrades and Citizens: Great War Veterans in Toronto, 1915-1919". He has taught university history courses on Canada, the U.S., labour, immigration, war and society, and globalization. Currently, he is an Adjunct Faculty Member for SUNY Empire State College's Center for Distance Learning.
